What can you expect during a Reiki session?

Distance Reiki sessions for humans: 

Since all sessions are virtual, I encourage you to set aside at least an hour for yourself at a comfortable place where you will be undisturbed. You can put on relaxing music if you wish, or you can enjoy the silence. At the appointment time, your session would start with a 5-10 minute video conversation using the link provided in your email, during which we would discuss your intention for the session. After that we will go offline for the Reiki portion of the session. After the Reiki portion is finished, and depending on your preference, I can send you and email and you can reply at that time with any feedback or questions you may have. Or, we can reopen our video session for the last few minutes and have a chat. 

During your Reiki session, you may experience sensations of tingling or, feelings of hot or cold, as the energy moves. Sometimes emotions bubble up - let them come up, feel them without judgement. There's no right or wrong way here. Some people don't feel anything at all during the session, and that is perfectly normal too. After the session, I encourage you to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. If you are able, take it easy for the rest of the day; rest, meditate, take a leisurely walk, or go to sleep. If that is not possible, that is completely okay too.

All of my sessions are intuitively guided, therefore no two sessions are the same. That means that sometimes I use crystals, sometimes I light candles, other times I play soft music. I conduct all Reiki sessions in a private, comfortable, quiet space in my home.

Distance Reiki sessions for animals:

The structure of the Reiki session for animals (pets) is a bit different. Most sessions are shorter, about 20-40 minutes long, and the pet's caretaker is present during the session. Depending on the situation, we would stay online via Google Meet and I will observe your animal companion, ask questions of the caretaker, while sending Reiki to your pet at the same time. If your pet is unable to join the session, I will ask for a picture of your pet ahead of the appointment, and after the initial 5-10 minutes of discussion with the pet parent, I will send the Reiki energy while offline. At the conclusion of the session, I will send the caretaker a short email to which they can reply with any feedback or questions they may have.

One very important component that I want to mention is that I always ask for consent from the pet at the time of the appointment. Generally, animals are open to receiving Reiki and welcome the energy. However, sometimes, for whatever reason, they do not consent to receiving Reiki, and we need to respect that. If that is the case, and if the animal's caretaker is open to it and agrees, I will give Reiki to the caretaker.

The unique thing about Animal Reiki is that when I send Reiki to your pet, it is healing to both you and your pet.

One last note: I do not refer to the animal's caretaker (or human companion) as the "owner". I do not believe that we "own" another sentient being. 

***Important disclosure: I am not a psychic medium, nor I am an animal communicator. Sometimes during Reiki sessions I receive intuitive messages, such as words, images, emotions, impressions, that could be meaningful to the client, but that is not why clients come to me for Reiki.
